Climate change-induced flash floods have killed at least 337 people in northwestern Pakistan, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

Dozens remain missing after the area was struck in recent days.

The northern mountainous regions, especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, have been among the worst hit.

NDMA has also warned of above-normal rainfall in southern Pakistan.

Authorities cautioned of more deluges and possible landslides between now and Tuesday, urging local administrations to remain on high alert.

Since June 26, higher-than-normal monsoon rains have lashed the country, killing more than 600 people.

Officials further predict heavier rainfall this month, which could intensify the risk of fresh floods and landslides, adding to the mounting death toll.
