Trump threatens Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Greenland after Venezuela attack

United States President Donald Trump has threatened Colombian President Gustavo Petro and the government in Cuba in the wake of Washington’s abduction of Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro. Ranting to reporters on Air Force One, Trump also threatened Mexico and Greenland.

"Colombia's very sick, too, run by a sick man who likes making cocaine and selling it to the United States — and he's not going to be doing it very long, let me tell you," Trump said.

This comes as several Latin American countries condemned the US assault in Venezuela that killed at least 80 people. Gustavo Petro has been a sharp critic of Trump's actions.

In his series of statements, Trump said that Mexico has to get their act together. "We're going to have to do something. We'd love Mexico to do it. They're capable of doing it, but unfortunately... the cartels are running Mexico."

On Cuba, he said "it's just going to fall" insisting that the US dont need to take any action.

"It looks like it's going down — it's going down for the count. You ever watch a fight? They go down for the count, and Cuba looks like it's going down."

Trump also insisted that the US was “in charge” of Venezuela, even though the country’s Supreme Court has appointed Vice President Delcy Rodriguez as interim leader. Trump told reporters that if the acting Venezuelan leader, Delcy Rodriguez, doesn't do what's right, "she will face a situation probably worse than Maduro."

On Saturday, Rodriguez said the US abduction of Nicolas Maduro had "Zionist undertones". "The extremists who have promoted armed aggression against our country - history and justice will make them pay," she said in a televised address.
