Israel kills 31, including children, in new Gaza ceasefire violation

At least 31 Palestinians, including six children, have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza City and Khan Younis since dawn, according to medical sources speaking to Al Jazeera, a day before Israel is set to reopen the Rafah crossing with Egypt for the first time since May 2024.

Amjad Shawa, head of the Palestinian NGO Network in Gaza, says that the ceasefire has not stopped the “crimes” of “genocide,” reported Al Jazeera.

Daily Israeli bombardment is continuing to displace people, while Israel is preventing the entry of basic materials, shelter supplies and medicines, Shawa said.

“We are going through a very dangerous stage,” he said. “We need to open the crossings and bring in aid to reduce [people’s] suffering.”

Al-Shifa Hospital authorities said the death toll from an Israeli air attack on a police station in Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood has risen to at least 13, contributing to today’s increasing killings.

Gaza’s Government Media Office says more thant 500 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since a United States-brokered ceasefire in Gaza came into effect on October 10 in 2025.

Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza has killed at least 71,769 people and wounded 171,483 since it began in October 2023.
