Tsunami and earthquake kill 384 in Indonesia

384 people have been killed after a powerful earthquake triggered a tsunami that hit Indonesia's central Sulawesi island. The death toll could climb in the coming days, Disaster Management Agency officials warned. After the 7.5-magnitude earthquake hit Friday, water smashed into buildings and swept away homes in the coastal city of Palu, home to 450,000 people. More than 540 people are being treated in several local hospitals amid the massive destruction and 29 people are missing. Hospitals in the city were overwhelmed by the influx of injured, with many people being treated in the open air, while other survivors helped to retrieve the remains of those who died. https://twitter.com/xiuminusone/status/1045681274164195330 https://twitter.com/AFP/status/1045918561292578821
