Palestinians immediately accepted the solidarity and acknowledged the support. "Thank you, Paul Pogba and Amad Diallo, for your solidarity today at Old Trafford. One day, Palestine shall be free. One day, the Palestinian people will be free. One day we will invite you to play in Jerusalem, our liberated capital," Husam Zomlot, head of Palestinian mission to the UK expressed in a tweet.

Since Israel aggression escalated from May 10, 217 Palestinians have been killed, including 63 children in Gaza. West Bank death toll since May 15 is now at 24.

In Israel, 12 people have been killed in rocket attacks launched by Palestinian groups based in Gaza.

Leicester City's Turkish defender Caglar Soyuncu, Manchester City's Riyad Mahrez, Liverpool's Sadio Mane and Fenerbahce's Mesut Ozil also extended their support to Palestine. Egyptian footballer Mohamed Elneny, who plays for Arsenal drew the ire of club sponsor Lavazza after he expressed support for the Palestinians.
