"No other option”: MGNREGA workers protesting over a month against throttling scheme
For over a month, MGNREGA workers from across the country have joined a sit-in protest in New Delhi's Jantar Mantar against app-based attendance, and budget cuts among other issues.
This week, the Union government told Lok Sabha that the National Mobile Monitoring System App, used for the attendance of MNREGA workers was launched after doing only one field visit to Alwar, Rajasthan for pilot testing.
