ASA-SFI-TSF alliance sweeps University of Hyderabad student polls
A panel formed by Ambedkar Students’ Association (ASA), Student’s Federation of India (SFI) and Tribal Student’s Forum (TSF) won the student’s election in the University of Hyderabad on Saturday.
Union president Md Ateeq Ahmed, a PhD Scholar of Urdu from the School of Languages, secured 1,880 votes.
The winning panel includes Jalli Akash as vice-president, Deepak Kumar Arya as general secretary, Lavudi Bala Anjaneyulu as joint secretary, Samim Akter Sheikh as cultural secretary and Athul as sports secretary.
Soumya Mohan KP, K Pooja, and Nandana Panikkil secured positions in the ICC GSCASH committee.
The ABVP contested the polls in alliance with the Seva Lal Vidyarthi Dal (SLVD) and it’s president candidate Shaik Aayesha received 1,409 votes.
Alliance for Social Democracy (ASD), which comprises Fraternity Movement, Dalit Students Union, Muslim Students Federation, Bahujan Students Federation, All India Students Association, and All India OBC Association was also in the poll fray.
